Email us with Shaw stuff!

Idea: Instead of replacing elderly Shaw with young Hayden, let's replace Hayden with a young Shaw in Episodes 2 and 3!

This would simply require a 3D computer model of Shaw's head, from around 1940. Then, Lucas could digitize the computer model on top of Hayden's head. It wouldn't look any worse than the CG Jabba or Jar Jar. The 'chemistry' between the CG Shaw and Natalie Portman couldn't be any worse either.

Shaw's voice would have to be imitated and dubbed. My suggestion would be to use someone who speaks with a real British accent. It would make those ridiculous lines that begin with "M'lady" sound a lot more natural.

The difficult task would be to make a dignified head like Shaw's look natural on the awkward, testosterone-laced poses of Christian Haydensen. Even the classiest of gentlemen would have a hard time toning down the ridiculous bravado of Haydensen's performance.

Changing the print from color to B&W might also be a positive change for Episodes 2 and 3. It would generate an 'instant classic' feel to the film, and might wash out some of the 'cartoony' CG look of the prequels.
